Who is Horses in Mexico Horses in Mexico is a one-person only not for profit organization dedicated to improving the living conditions of horses, mules and donkeys that suffer from medical and/or malnutrition in Mexico. Presently, I do what is necessary to give them what they need the most: food, water and medicine. Would you like to help? Naturally, this is a challenging project that cannot continue without the help of concerned animal lovers like you. If you are interested in helping me help animals, please send me a small donation! No donation is too small and all donations go directly to improve the well-being of horses, mules and donkeys. | What we do Unfortunately, the donations I receive are not sufficient to rehabilitate each horse, mule and donkey. For this reason, I prioritize each animal according to its physical condition. A horse that is sick will always be attended to before an animal in a state of poor nutrition. It is a very sad but a true reality. Below is a monthly table that shows the amount needed to rehabilitate a horse, mule or donkey. | | | | | | Food (grains, rastrojo & alfalfa) | $100 | $50 | $15 | | Medicine (antiparasite, vitamins) | $30 | $30 | $15 |
I hope you can spread the word about the important work that is done by Horses in Mexico. Why I do it? Despite my efforts and other organization's efforts, there are over 6 million horses, 3 million mules and 3 millon donkeys that live and work in often alarming conditions in Mexico. About 50% of the population of Mexico live in poverty. Many horses, mules and donkeys are usually unattended because their owners lack money to buy food, water, proper tack, medicine or shoes. With this in mind, if you are interested in helping with me with this project, contact me today at cahillkate@horsesinmexico.com. I am always looking for animal lovers who want to make a difference in the life of horses, mules and donkeys in Mexico.
